Our founder is a University of Texas at Austin graduate and retired Certified Public Accountant with
deep roots in audit and income tax work — particularly in financial institution audits and a broad range
of industries. But the most valuable part of that background isn't the credentials. It's the discipline: an
auditor's eye for what's actually working inside a business versus what just looks good on the surface.
After leaving public accounting, the next chapter was entrepreneurship — starting, growing, and
ultimately selling or merging multiple companies. The most recent decade was spent in the industrial
sand arena, acquiring and supplying frac sand to major oil and gas operators across the country. That
world runs on logistics, contracts, relationships, and razor-thin margins. You learn quickly what
efficiency means when the stakes are real.
